Need advice re: item not received and non-responsive seller
I could use some advice. I was the high bidder on an auction that closed on 3/31 late in the evening. The listing says that the seller normally ships within 2-3 days of receiving payment with an estimated delivery time of 3-8 business days. I paid for the item on 4/2 through PayPal so the estimated date for delivery was on or before 4/14. Shipment is within the US so no international issues. On 4/16 the seller left positive feedback for me. On 4/19 I sent a message to the seller asking if the item had been shipped and received no response. Today, 4/23, I sent another message going over all the dates as I've listed them here and asking for shipping information and a tracking number. What is my next step if I get no response? I've read some other forum posts where people have initiated claims through eBay AND through PayPal and it created a lot of problems. What is the correct/best/preferred method? Thanks|||Paid 4/2 was a Friday( Good Friday Easter weekend so the package may have gone out Monday morning 4/ 5. The normal wait time (depending on how it was shipped) is 10 busniness days from a cleared payment. You don't count the weekends. Since you have received NO reply to you emails, why not pull the seller's contact info (phone#) and call to ask what method, date it shipped and if there is a D/C #) D/C = delivery confirmation which is NOT true tracking like you get with UPS or Fedex. The package can be scanned along the way, but it means scanned when delivered. If you still get no answer, then file the INR with Paypal . Pull the seller's contact info here Link By the way the delivery times in the auction are just estimates provided by USPS. Don't cancel the INR , unless you have either the item as described or a full refund in hand.|||Which 3/31 auction was it? If we look at the auction , we can advise you better.|||File with PayPal not eBay.
