Returned item to seller, now seller wont respond to me or return $$$

Bought a piece of computer hardware from a seller. It arrived dead, non-working. Seller has a 7 day warranty on the item, as stated in the listing. Contacted the seller, he was rude, but told me to mail it back to him. He gave me his return address. I mailed it back, have delivery confirmation proof he's received it. Its been a week. Now he won't respond to my emails when I ask him what the delay is in refunding me. Had a friend send a test message to the seller about one of the other items the seller is still selling on ebay, just to see if the seller is home or maybe his email is down? Seller responded to my friend within minutes. So the seller is now avoiding me. What actions can I now take to get my $$$ back?|||" mailed it back, have delivery confirmation proof he's received it. Now buyers don't even look at...

.............PICTURES???I recently sold a ladies dress in a size 16.Today I get a message from the buyer that it must be a girl's dress because she wears a 8/10 and it doesn't fit. She had her niece try it on and doesn't fit her, either. The pictures in my listing clearly show the dress on an ADULT manniquin with the dress at full ankle length....PLUS the measurements are given in the listing! She, of course wants a refund, and sure, it wasn't much money...$5.99 total, but it is the principle of it!Buyers not only don't read...they don't look at the pictures either, I guess!|||You can stand on principle and take the neg or you can take a return voluntarily and maybe not get one plus not have a complaint on your buyer satisaction record If she cecides to file a complaint you will be forced to take a return. It may not be your fault but it is your responsibility Silver rule "do not do to others what you would not like to be done to you"|||Well, I just looked at the auction and that's maybe a 16 by 1940's sizes, but it is NOT a modern day 16 by any means. Link A 36-38" bust (as described by you) is a misses size 10. Since there is a huge variety in sizing by different manufacturers and countries and etc it's a good idea to always list the flat dimensions of the item. I agree with the buyer in this case. A dress that is size 16 womens would hang VERY loosely on a skinny mannequin (usually mannequins are like a size 0-2). What you have there is a girls size 16 dress that you did not describe accurately.|||You had the measurements in the listing so if the buyer files with Ebay, I don't know that they'd win. Ebay is tougher on SNADS. I would just tell her to return the dress for a full refund.Need a website fast?|||I'm not usually one for refunding without the return of item but in this case it's clear you were wrong and it's clear it wouldn't be worth getting back. I'd refund with an apology. That is most definitely a girls size 16 A girls 16 will fit on a an adult (I wear a 16) but an adult 16 would have been huge on your manni. Even the style to me screams girls."This must be Thursday, said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, I never could get the hang of Thursdays."|||Definitely a girls 16. Refund upon return.|||Sometimes mistakes happen I just had a return and the buyer said this "I have a light/fair complexion, and this foundation is too dark. I know the auction said it is for a medium complexion, but I didn't realize there would be a difference" Clearly, it was the buyers fault, but I did accept the return, refunded, plus I even paid for her to ship it back to me. This way, hopefully if she needs other makeup items, she may remember my seller id and come back to my auctions.|||Then she can try them , return the used item which cannot be resold for hygenic reasons, and so on and so on. Interesting business plan... Personally, she would be on my BBL before I refunded.|||"return the used item which cannot be resold for hygenic reasons, and so on and so on" LMAO...so where you buy clothes there is a trash bin outside the try on rooms to throw away those unhygenic items you just tried on?||||||Given the auction Title Material Girl, and the fact you did not indicate the "brand/manufacturer" and the size/measurements, this is definitely a Girls size 16, not misses/womans dress. If I were you, I would let the buyer keep the dress (total sale $5.99) and give a full refund. This may save you from a neg for not accurately describing this dress and listing it in the wrong Womens category. Making the buyer in this case return and pay for return shipping, will certainly result in a deserved NEG. For $5.99 it is not worth it when the buyer is correct.||||||I think they were referring to the foundation which would have to be thrown away after being used. Yes, the foundation does get thrown away, or I use it as a tester when I go out to the flea market....it doesn't get resold|||"MATERIAL GIRL is the brand, and the measurements WERE in the listing. Guess you don't look at ENTIRE lisings either." Wrong,I read it and nowhere did you mention in the listing the Material Girl as being a brand. That is not a super popular "brand" that many buyers would auto know . The measurements and the way it fit the manni, NO way this was a womans size 16. It was a Girls size 16. Sorry, but I think you owe your buyer a full refund. For $5.99 I would apologize and not make the buyer spend money to return it, in hopes of not getting a Neg. It is your auction, so you do what you choose.|||Tag in dress said..LADIES SIZE 16 I'm not buying it. Those measurements do not indicate a womens 16.

Paypal Buyer Protection Policy Question

BPP states: "When a buyer wins a Buyer Complaint Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer ONLY if the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account." So what happens if the funds are NOT in a sellers account? 1.) Is the buyer simply screwed? Do they check once and then are they done with ichecking if there are no available funds? 2.) Do they follow up with the seller and TRY to get the money back or is it solely dependent on the balance at that very moment? 3.) Do they perhaps WAIT for the funds to become available at a later time? If the funds were ever to become available, would they withdraw the buyers cash from that, or is it, again, just what' is available at the time they check?|||The Buyer Protection Policy and the Buyer Complaint Policy are 2 different things. BPP is for items purchased on Ebay, the BCP is for items purchased off-Ebay|||Yes, I know - that was actually a mistake I made typing "Protection Policy" in the subject header. My questions are in regards to the Buyer Complaint Claim. Does anyone have an idea?|||"My questions are in regards to the Buyer Complaint Claim. Does anyone have an idea?" Buyer Compalint = no refund, if the seller has cleared out their Paypal acct. Buyer Protection= it does NOT matter , if the seller has funds or not, buyer won dispute is refunded by Paypal, then Papal goes after the seller for reimbursement.|||I am going to assume you aren't asking about eBay buying since this program isn't relevant to eBay [u]unless you pay an email address not linked to the auction. "When a buyer wins a Buyer Complaint Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer ONLY if the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account." So what happens if the funds are NOT in a sellers account? 1.) Is the buyer simply screwed? Do they check once and then are they done with checking if there are no available funds? They put the account on hold and any funds coming in from sales etc. will be appropriated but most scammers just cut and run. 2.) Do they follow up with the seller and TRY to get the money back or is it solely dependent on the balance at that very moment? Yes, they usually try 3.) Do they perhaps WAIT for the funds to become available at a later time? If the funds were ever to become available, would they withdraw the buyers cash from that, or is it, again, just what' is available at the time they check? I have heard of buyers getting refunds months later but rarely. Fund your PayPal payments with a credit card and avoid worrying.

I am a buyer with a problem

I bid on a jacket from a brand new seller, prior to bidding on it, I sent a message to check to see if seller was for real. No answer but I wanted the product so I bid and won. I requested the total amount with no response, so I went ahead and paid. After one day it said that the paypal was waiting for a response from the seller with a timer sign. So I got scared and canceled the transaction, I have sent mulitiple contact requests, and messages to ask to cancel the whole thing, but no answer. Now I have that stuck on my MyEbay page. should I just leave it? I need help on what to do! thanks.. Becky Link|||After one day it said that the paypal was waiting for a response from the seller with a timer sign. How do you cancel a transaction that you paid for?Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||sounds like the paypal account the payment was sent to was not open or active that's the only time I know that you can cancel."This must be Thursday, said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, I never could get the hang of Thursdays."|||Sounds like that, or is that also what it would show if the seller had only a personal PP acct?|||So should I just wait then? I requested contact info from Ebay and still haven't heard anything... I knew I should've never bid on that jacket~|||Hmmm, looks like their first and only sale, probably just have no idea what they're doing! Well, New with Tags and "Wore and washed only once" + a stock pic is a big red flag(s). I would do nothing. If you have your payment back, wait to hear from them, if they file a UPI, respond with your transaction # of the unclaimed payment.|||Payments sent to Personal Accounts can't be Cancelled. Sellers must upgrade to accept, buyers can't cancel on their end. The email address linked in the auction is either a typo or not properly linked to the seller's PayPal account.|||Seller has no clue Says new with tags, but description says "This jacket is in great shape! Wore and washed only once, Never used since" Unless they washed the tags, this is not new with tags. Seller has not set up their Paypal acct to receive payments as required (non personal acct). This one is not likely to know to file to get their fee back. If they do , just give the original Paypal transaction number and state they were unable/willing to accept payment. As far as what is showing on your MY Ebay page, that is for your eyes only. Either ignore or just use the drop down menu and mark it paid.|||"I sent a message to check to see if seller was for real. No answer but I wanted the product so I bid and won" And just how does emailing tell you the seller is real? When you did not get a reply, you should not have bid. With the conflicting "New with Tags " and description saying washed ,worn once , You should not have bid.|||SO I finally got a phone number and I called yesterday, she sounded like a teenager...I left a message telling her that she just needed to cancel the whole transaction, and that I contacted Ebay already. I haven't heard back from her, didn't really expect to. thanks guys for the info, Leason learned on my part... :"< Mahalo!|||I always believed that a first time seller to ebay should by first ,that way they will learn how too sell by dealing with sellers they buy from. Selling on ebay isn't for everyone.|||A teenager (sounds like) doesn't mean the person on the answering machine is the seller. If it comes down to brass tacks~~you bid, you won, you pay.||||||Time to forget about it and move on. Just buy another New with Tags Jacket that has only been washed once .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||"How am I supposed to pay when I haven't heard anything from the seller? including requesting the total amount due." The auction shows the jacket as item price $24.50 and S&H is $4.00= $28.50 You do not need a total from the seller, everything you need to pay, is right in the auction. When you paid the first time, what exactly did the PayPal transaction or any message say? My guess is the seller being 100 % new and clueless, opened a regular , not the required to sell Premier Paypal acct.

Unsure if my Louis Vuitton handbag is authentic that I purchased

Hello all! I've never used this before, but I am quite unsure of a Louis Vuitton handbag I purchased. This seller is My Poupette recommended (which really doesn't mean anything to me) and when I received the handbag, some things looked fake to me. I could just be totally unsure, but I've examined other bucket bags and where the authenticity code is, they have an LV button, mine doesn't. The seller claims the interior was replaced in 2006, so there may be some differences compared to the original look. Please check out here: Link|||Monkeytore is a reputable seller. All bucket bags large and small are lined in Vuittonette. It is made to be easily washable. I the past the Vuittonette would peel and flake and that is the main reason you see so many relined. My large bucket was relined as well. Your datecode looks fine. The heat stamp is the correct pressure and font. The bag is in great condition. I have not bought from Monkeytore but would not hesitate to do so.Dixie LV Collector!|||Donna - post your concerns on the purse board - the ladies over their are experts and will be able to help you. Here's the link to the board: Link Someone pass me an explanation and a Tanq on the rocks please ...|||The purse board already has a thread about this bag from Monkeytore.Dixie LV Collector!||||||its authentic.|||A seller's feedback is a good indication as to wheather they sell aucthintic or fake items. When looking at this sellers feedback they do not have any feedback from buyers saying their items are fake. So most likely it is authentic. I hope the auction said that the purse had the interior replaced so the buyer knew what they were buying.|||That bag is making its way around the block. ** chuckles **If you only have nice things to say, don't sit by me||||||I'd worry and ask questions on the purse board before bidding next time.

Seller Unwilling To Admitt Error

I won auction 110519175488 for a bottle of Calvin Klein's woman's perfume. It says woman's perfume in the title & three times in the description, but I received instead a bottle of Calvin Klein's man's aftershave. No problem, mistakes happen. So I fire off an email & 1 day later no response, so I fire off another & another day later no response, so today I got the sellers contact info from eBay & phoned the seller. he answered his phone, listened to my issue & informed me that he doesn't buy man's aftershave, & that while he didn't think I was lying to him about what I received, that there is no way that this could happen , for he only bought woman's perfume. His response has gotten me so pissed I needed to vent before I take my next step, & while this hasn't helped a bunch, it has helped calm me down a bit. I will wait until I am myself, then take this up w/ the folks at eBay. Thank you for letting me vent some steam. PS: I saw that he was a relatively new seller before I bid on the item, but they did have 100% positive feed back, six as a seller, & the account dates back to 2006.|||Well, the picture does say "Eww de par-fum" so I assume the pic was of a wimmen's bottle. Good that you calmed down. I didn't a few weeks ago when I got those loose Hulk dvds and fired off an angry e-mail to the seller! Seems like an open and shut case to just file a SNAD. GIFT CERTIFICATES ??

Good morning everyone. Has anyone had any experience buying gift cards/certificates on line? thanks for your input.|||Just be very careful. Many of these gift cards will be unusable when you get to the cash register at the store. They will be empty, stolen, expired etc.|||I have sold gift certs on Ebay without any problems. I would recommend, as others have, that you use a credit card through Paypal and also that you use a seller with positive feedback (preferably one that has positive feedback for gift certificates). I also wonder why they sometimes go for MORE than face value. I once had a $20 gas card, received as a gift, for a gas company not in my area. I listed it in an auction and it went for $24 plus $1 shipping - WEIRD!

Item misrepresented and buyer won't respond

I purchased a Hollister t-shirt which I received on Friday evening. Immediately upon opening the package it was very clear the condition of the shirt was grossly misrepresented. The listing stated the shirt has no holes or stains. Let me just say, the shirt looks like the kid that wore it rode through a mud puddle on his bike. Mom might have washed it, but the stains clearly did not come out of the white shirt. I now know why she only photographed the front of the shirt. Anyway, I sent 3 emails and have not received a response. I was pleasant, explained the problem, expressed my desire for a refund and closed by thanking her for her help. I know she has been on eBay because today she responded to 1 neutral and 1 negative feedback from other buyers. Apparently she misrepresented a couple of other items. I have never left negative feedback for anyone and really don't want to. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.|||Beyond ignored emails there's the Advanced Search which give you her phone number if you wish to duke it out over the phone. But Before Feedback... You can go through a Paypal dispute of Significantly not as Arrived! And get a refund from those magical men in the clouds! weeeeeee!|||Give the seller another day or two respond. If the seller is still non-responsive, you can file a Significantly Not As Described dispute through PayPal, as James said. That should get their attention. Do this within 45 days of your payment. Once you return the shirt, and provide online-viewable proof of delivery back to the seller per PayPal's instructions, you will receive a refund of your original payment (item price + shipping). Return shipping will be on your dime; however for a t-shirt it shouldn't be that expensive. Be sure to get Delivery Confirmation (Signature Confirmation for payments of $250 or more). You can print the postage online: paypal.com/shipnow Once you get your refund, you can then consider what type of feedback you wish to leave. Personally, if I have to file a dispute to get a refund, I neg.friends Director,|||First get your refund, then worry about feedback. File the SNAD dispute with Paypal. IF the seller balks at a return, just escalate to a claim and again, follow Paypal's instructions. You are entitled to item price and the original S&H. The return shipping is on your dime. You can request the seller reimburse you for this, but Ebay/Paypal can't force the seller to pay the return shipping. Always return with delivery confirmation and give the D/C # to Paypal. Once they confirm the return with the D/C, you should receive your refund. After you get the refund, leave appropriate feedback.|||Agreed, if you have to file the SNAD dispute to get your refund, then a NEG is in order as follows: Item SNAD stained . Or did the seller hide what it really looked like?||||||I guess it really depends on how much you paid for the kids t-shirt?? If you only paid 99 cents plus shipping of a few bucks is it really worth packaging it up and sending back on your own dime ($$). If you're only going to gain your 99 cents back after paying return shipping just toss it in the rag pile.|||"Couldn't you tell what it looked like by the pics? LinkLink Agree, it may not be worth it for a .99 teeshirt, but leaving appropriate feedback and DSR stars , would be in order.

Buyer rant on shipping

If Im paying for shipping, then why cant I see a copy of the receipt? I would like to know if they actually paid for insurance {that I paid for} and how much over I have been charged, to know if Im being overcharged. I do this for all my buyers upon request. Its also in the description}. One guy {after I paid of coarse} I asked {before I bid} if he would combine shipping, held my money hostage {BIN had to pay first and immediately}. His response was $6 for the box, $2 for other cardboard in it, $4 for gas, and $5.89 for 15 min time to mail it {he left work early and gets paid 40 an hour}. No specialty packing was done or needed {metal}. He also placed the items {items measured are 16"x 4"x 3"} and placed them in a 42" x 22" x 8" box and filled the rest with cardboard. So I went to the same place to find out return shipping insured. It was only $30.04 {insured} and was charged $47.89. {return of $15 shipping of 62.89} was He charged me $5.95 for each item placed in the box over the actual cost of shipping. Now one of the items has arrived and is broken. I must return it. He wants to only give me a "partial return" of shipping cost and none of the return cost or $5.95 to place it in the box fee. I also dont plan on returning it in a 42"x22" box. lol So basically after this is all done, I'll have paid more for shipping than what I paid for one of the items in the box. Over $60+ {I didnt charge for gas and time and repacking} mailing and returning a 9.8 Lb package. The item being returned is 3.5 x 5" x 18" boxed up, after I packed it and was the largest and heaviest item purchased. I would like to have my $5.95 {for the single item} putting the item inna box fee returned, plus the actual shipping fee charged $17.89 {for this single item} along with the cost of item. Is this fair and reasonable to ask? .|||You hear that noise????? It's the sound of your ID hitting numerous BBLs.......No, you have no actual right to a breakdown of your sellers costs. You have a right to know the total, decide whether or not to bid, and then pay. On a return, Paypal will force the seller to refund the total you paid if you return the entire purchase. They have no rules for partial refunds or how they are calculated. You are required to pay return shipping unless the seller agrees to pay for it.|||Do you also demand a receipt for the item you're buying to know how much the seller is making on it?|||Tap Tap tap Tap.... Im on both sides of the fence. I dont care if Im charged a cupla bucks over, but 18 bucks? And then not be able to get original shipping cost back and have to pay for return shipping?? Im NOT saying do it my way either, but do feel Im entitled to know what Im paying for if I feel Im being taken advantage of. As far as the receipt, I just stated thats what I do and guess what, it still didnt help my DSR's on shipping. I dont charge anything for these things. I also think its a great idea to rid eBay of the overcharging of shipping fees. I do also realize there are times where specialty packing may be called for ect, this is not one of those times. I feel I should get all my return shipping cost refunded. If you as a seller are going to screw buyers over like this, then by all means, add me to your BBL. You shouldnt profit from shipping, but should be "reasonably" compensated for your efforts.|||"I feel I should get all my return shipping cost refunded." Should read "original shipping cost refunded"||||||||||||What I am responsible for here is I should have waited for a quote for the combined shipping. I thought there would be a reasonable charge to add them and I was wrong. I wasnt expecting the seller to keep 75% of shipping cost for each item {x3} shipped when he said he would combine shipping on multiple items purchased and shipped in the same box.|||Hey OP, thanks so much for posting!|||and if the seller admits there is a problem "he is responsible for", why should buyer have to pay for return shipping? Any seller who doesn't reimburse all costs to a buyer who receives a SNAD item is going to pay for it in feedback (and rightly so). Keep in mind I am not talking about buyers' remorse here. I thought there would be a reasonable charge to add them and I was wrong. You're a seller yourself. There is absolutely no excuse (in my opinion) for one seller to bid 1st, then ask 2nd. And your demand for a "shipping receipt" is way out of line. Someone pass me an explanation and a Tanq on the rocks please ...|||Never assume anything on eBay. If you don't know the shipping costs don't bid. Combined shipping can mean many things. There is no eBay rule or standard price for it. It does NOT mean the rest of the widgets ship free after you pay for the first one except in rare cases. eBay allows sellers to charge handling fees. Expecting your sellers to give you a breakdown on their shipping/handling is NOT reasonable at all. It is not fair and none of your business. Do you do the same when buying from other online companies? Many online retailers charge far above actual shipping and won't refund return shipping. It is your responsibility as a buyer to decide how much you will pay for the total price of the widget, what the breakdown is isn't relevant. PayPal, eBay and your credit card all require original shipping to be refunded. They can't force a seller to refund more than you paid him so that is why return shipping reimbursement is up to the seller.

Need advice re: item not received and non-responsive seller

I could use some advice. I was the high bidder on an auction that closed on 3/31 late in the evening. The listing says that the seller normally ships within 2-3 days of receiving payment with an estimated delivery time of 3-8 business days. I paid for the item on 4/2 through PayPal so the estimated date for delivery was on or before 4/14. Shipment is within the US so no international issues. On 4/16 the seller left positive feedback for me. On 4/19 I sent a message to the seller asking if the item had been shipped and received no response. Today, 4/23, I sent another message going over all the dates as I've listed them here and asking for shipping information and a tracking number. What is my next step if I get no response? I've read some other forum posts where people have initiated claims through eBay AND through PayPal and it created a lot of problems. What is the correct/best/preferred method? Thanks|||Paid 4/2 was a Friday( Good Friday Easter weekend so the package may have gone out Monday morning 4/ 5. The normal wait time (depending on how it was shipped) is 10 busniness days from a cleared payment. You don't count the weekends. Since you have received NO reply to you emails, why not pull the seller's contact info (phone#) and call to ask what method, date it shipped and if there is a D/C #) D/C = delivery confirmation which is NOT true tracking like you get with UPS or Fedex. The package can be scanned along the way, but it means scanned when delivered. If you still get no answer, then file the INR with Paypal . Pull the seller's contact info here Link By the way the delivery times in the auction are just estimates provided by USPS. Don't cancel the INR , unless you have either the item as described or a full refund in hand.|||Which 3/31 auction was it? how many seconds should i wait till I click submit bid? and confirm bid?

I have been out bid several times by a few dollars on a tool that I need for work. Do professional bidders wait till the last second to click confirm bid to beat me every time? Do you have to wait till 5-10 seconds before you click confirm bid or submit bid? Please help me narrow this time down so I can win an auction for the tool i need. chris|||It all depends on the speed of your computer. I normally wait until about 10-15 seconds left to submit my bid (already have the amount in the box) and confirm. That normally doesn't leave enough time for anyone to counter your bid. You do know though, that just because you bid last doesn't mean you win, it's all about the amount of the bid, not the timing.|||I don't know if I'm a "professional bidder" but I'm a darn good sniper and I know in avance what my one highest max bid will be! That's the key just as much as the speed. If i feel my pc's been running smoothly, cleared cache & all, then I'll cut it as close as submitting the bid at 8-9 seconds and confirming the bid at 2-3 seconds. here's one from a coupla days ago ended up at 2 seconds, which is a good average. Link|||thankyou for your help. So I should look for a pattern, or average increase in the bid amounts, (usually there are more than 10 bids or bidders) then increase my bid according to the increase in bid amounts. I am still new to the automatic bids. I remember when there were no auto-bids. I will try to clear my chache and reboot before I place my last few bids. first I'll try 8-9 seconds then try about 5 seconds from the confirm bid page. chris|||Forget "patterns". Forget other bidders. Decide the most you would be willing to whip out of our billfold for that item. Figure shipping cost into that total. For example my dvd. I compared it elsewhere used from $5.50 (+$3) or new for $12. So I placed a bid of almost $5, knowing that would be $8 if my max was used up. Didn't want to spend any more at that time. I didn't care what other bidder wanted to lowball or highball. $8 TOTAL was my max, I won it for $6.25. Actually I won 2 dvds from that seller & saved $2 on shipping, so that went into my calculations as well. get it?|||It is not who bids last, it is who bid the most who wins. I can snipe with 5 seconds left on the clock, but if my bid (maximum) is under someone else's bid amount, I will not win.|||Bid once and bid the maximum you are willing to pay for that item. Bid at the very end ,bid once and bid your max. Read these links about bidding. Link Do not nibble bid.|||I might start bidding for dvds. It seems like a good, cheap way to practice and see how long the delay in my computer is from the time I click on the submit bid and then on the confirm bid. So far my price is rite because I only lost the bid by $2.50 on a $150 tool! I was sooo pissed. There always seems to be more of these tools posted every week because of people downsizing their businesses.|||I am not in this to make money so I do need to start biding more generously on something I will get alot of use out of. instead of the minimum bid increment I'll raise it to about $25 more. $2.50 on a $150 item is cutting it too close if i'm not worried about making a profit by retailing the item.|||I was going to suggest that! Hone your skills by sniping on some low-cost items, like cds/dvds or something that you want & will pay for, but won't be upset if you lose. You'll get a sense of your inner-timing too. i just count down in my head before hitting "confirm".|||My bidding strategy is very simple. I decide the total price I'm willing to pay, and subtract the shipping to come up with my maximum bid. I then enter that bid into myibay.com. Myibay.com's servers then place a snipe bid on my behalf with 5 seconds or so left in the auction. My computer may not even be turned on when this happens. I may have placed my bid with myibay hours, or days in advance. If my bid is the highest, I win. If not, I don't win. I find out whether or not I've won the next time I check eBay after the auction has ended. If I won, I pay at that time. Other people may use a different sniping service.friends Director,||||||I have two screens open when I snipe-one open to listing page watching county down, one in which I have submitted my max and gone to confirm screen. When the clock hits 7 sec or so I hit confirmwhen people show you who they are, believe them||||||

Shipping and Handling refund

Okay do you as a BUYER feel that you should be refunded you shipping if you have to send an item back.|||It is part of buying online to pay for return shipping ! Unless a seller sent wrong item. When it comes to a buyer having buyers remores then they should be SOL !||||||I agree buyer's remorse then absolutely not but otherwise I probably would because it is them who is paying the shipping if I pay more then I guess i learn to raise my shipping but I do not want a buyer to be out an item and even if I do refund their money and not the shipping they will most likely use it to help send it the item...Shipping is their responsibility cost wise.....so maybe I would consider refunding the shipping...||||||i just do not want to make someone pay more for my mistake......Because it isn't I who paid the shipping in the first place|||If the seller is at fault, they should pay shipping both ways. You can't force them to do that though. There is no way to force a seller to refund more than the original payment. You can leave bad feedback and DSRs though.|||If the buyer simply wants to return the item, and the seller is not at fault, the buyer should pay shipping both ways. Not fair to penalize the seller for something that is not their fault.||||||I believe sellers should pay return shipping when the return is their fault. I know they can't be forced to pay return shipping but any seller that makes me pay for their fault is going to read about it in feedback.|||OMG, you have to be kidding me. Bahahahaha||||||Ebay only offers refunds for purchase price and original shipping, NOT return shipping. This is wrong, particularly if the seller sent a wrong/defective item, why should the buyer bear the cost of the seller's mistake? Has anyone ever had a seller pay for return shipping before?|||I have. I crossed two packages, one to the UK and one to Canada. It was a very costly mistake. Not only did I fully refund each buyer for their item and shipping, but return shipping, and resent their items free of charge. Not everyone feels it is someone else's responsibility to pay for their mistakes.|||

DSR ???????????

HI - WHERE CAN I FIND MY DSR RATING???? I'V GONE TO MY PROFILE PAGE AND HAVE THE STARS HIGHLIGHTER BUT NOWHERE DO I SEE ANYTHING THAT SAYS DSR RATING???? DO YOU HAVE TO BE SELLING FOR A YEAR TO GET THIS??? I HAVE BEEN WITH EBAY SINCE JAN 2008 - I'AM TRYING TO SEE IF I QUALIFY FOR THE SPECIAL 1 CENTS LISTING FOR .99 CENT ITEMS. THANKS|||It's right there on the feedback page. The stars at the top? Detailed Seller Ratings.|||Yours are 4.8, 4.8, 4.8, 4.4.|||Look at your feedback page, it will show your DSR stars. You show having 35 ratings so far. With what looks like high shipping possibly Item as described 4.8 Communication 4.8 Shipping time 4.8 Shipping and handling charges 4.4 WHACK-A-HACKIt made a difference to that one didn't it?!?!|||Just because OP's DSR for Shipping and Handling is 4.4 doesn't mean he or she is charging too much for shipping. Almost every sellers' DSRs for Shipping are lower than their other detailed ratings, and though I don't have an example at hand to cite, as I recall, there have been sellers who charged only the actual cost of postage (or even offered free shipping!) who have had average DSRs for Shipping of 4.5.|||The OPs shipping is high. You can see it in their listings. It's not terrible high but still more than I would pay. The 4.4 is not bad but I think it keeps the OP out of the 1 cent fee sale.|||Hover your curser over the stars and you eill see the ratingwhen people show you who they are, believe them|||triyarn: "The OPs shipping is high. You can see it in their listings. It's not terrible high but still more than I would pay." I just checked OP's current listings, and I don't agree with you. I would consider OP's shipping charges about average. If OP was charging $9.99 to ship those jewelry items or a t-shirt, I'd agree, but not $5 or $6. Shipping has gotten expensive, especially at USPS, and factor in the shipping materials and a buck for handling, and I can't complain. Part of the reason sellers who charge less than this, who charge the actual postage cost as a shipping charge, still get dinged on DSR for high shipping charges is that some buyers are mad that it costs so much to ship. Well, that's not always the seller's fault.|||I just checked OP's current listings, and I don't agree with you. We'll just have to agree to disagree. The jewelry could be shipped for half that price 1st class and get to the buyer way faster than Parcel Post. That would be the case with most of the OP's stuff. The OP is making more than $6 handling on 3 teddy bears. I wasn't trying to be snarky, just trying to help the OP out.|||Triyan: Those stuff amanals can weigh in at 1 pound ,However $8.00 is a little high depending on how OP ship's it .|||It Takes One Crapy buyer too burn your DSRS .|||I Meant stuffed animals|||I agree Carl, but the OP says a flat rate box which is less than $9 to ship anywhere in the country.|||I agree with "triyarn". I think shipping t-shirts for $6.00 parcel is a tad pricey. No insurance or DC is included. Guess they are trying to do flat rate for the country.|||You need to offer free shipping. eBay is running all the sellers that charge shipping fees off. I mean really do you think eBay wants you to make a single dollar on shipping when they don't get a cut?

bad electronics

i bought a xbox360 from a company(aie) they gave a 30 day warranty but i didnt get to use it right away and after using it to watch about 5 movies it frooze up on me and the xbox company said that it was 7 years old and that i just got screwed.i guess we buyers need to start waiting a little while and then leaving negative feedback i wished i would have.live and learn the hard way.142.65 is hard to bit off since money is so hard to come by. THANKS FOR READING LETS STOP THIS SCAMERS.|||they gave a 30 day warranty If you paid with PayPal, They gave you a 45 day from the date you paid warranty You could have returned the item for a FULL refund Item price + what you paid for the original shipping/handling You would have had to foot the bill for the return shipping. i guess we buyers need to start waiting a little while and then leaving negative feedback You have 60 days from the date of the purchase to leave Feed Back. Always best to try to work out the problem with the Seller BEFORE leaving a NEG Most times once you leave a NEG, most Sellers consider it a done deal. .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||Do a chargeback.Need a website fast?|||Contact the seller prior to leaving a negative. You watched 5 movies on it first, they may not have known anything was wrong since it did initially work. However, you do have an issue here if they sold it to you as brand new, in which the xbox company told you it is 7 years old. So - contact the seller, be polite. If that doesn't work, file a SNAD. You have 45 days since the listing ended. From now on, try to test the products as soon as you can (I know you were probably busy and you really didn't have a chance for 30 days), but once all the timeframes have passed, the seller has no obligation to refund you. On their end, they may think you are trying to scam them since you waited to long to contact them or file a SNAD. And always leave FB after your item has arrived and you have had a chance to inspect it. First and foremost, contact the seller politely and let them know what happened and see what they can do for you.|||You should be aware that Xboxes are very high fraud on eBay and that many of them are misrepresented. This isn't a good place to buy one unless you are very savvy. If you paid with a credit card and it is past the 45 days protection you have with PayPal then call your bank.
