Returned item to seller, now seller wont respond to me or return $$$
Bought a piece of computer hardware from a seller. It arrived dead, non-working. Seller has a 7 day warranty on the item, as stated in the listing. Contacted the seller, he was rude, but told me to mail it back to him. He gave me his return address. I mailed it back, have delivery confirmation proof he's received it. Its been a week. Now he won't respond to my emails when I ask him what the delay is in refunding me. Had a friend send a test message to the seller about one of the other items the seller is still selling on ebay, just to see if the seller is home or maybe his email is down? Seller responded to my friend within minutes. So the seller is now avoiding me. What actions can I now take to get my $$$ back?|||" mailed it back, have delivery confirmation proof he's received it. Its been a week. " File the SNAD dispute with Paypal and give the delivery confirmation number proving return. Get your refund and leave appropriate NEG feedback. Example: Item not as described, DOA, seller uncooperative, despite return as per seller's request". File, escalate and if contacted by the seller again, remind them, they have had the item back for a week. It takes the seller ,no time at all to push the refund button on the Paypal transaction Get your refund and then leave feedback.|||Once you file with Paypal, all communication with the seller should only be via the dispute console. DO NOT cancel the dispute/claim, unless you have your refund in hand. Once closed, it can not be reopened.|||You only have 45 days from the date of payment to file. Don't let the seller string you along until after the filing deadline has expired.|||Logon to PayPal and file a Significantly Not As Described dispute. Indicate that you've returned the widget and enter the DC number that proves delivery back to the seller.|||Seller has a 7 day warranty on the item, as stated in the listing. Since you paid with PayPal, Seller gives a 45 day from payment warranty .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.
Now buyers don't even look at...
.............PICTURES???I recently sold a ladies dress in a size 16.Today I get a message from the buyer that it must be a girl's dress because she wears a 8/10 and it doesn't fit. She had her niece try it on and doesn't fit her, either. The pictures in my listing clearly show the dress on an ADULT manniquin with the dress at full ankle length....PLUS the measurements are given in the listing! She, of course wants a refund, and sure, it wasn't much money...$5.99 total, but it is the principle of it!Buyers not only don't read...they don't look at the pictures either, I guess!|||You can stand on principle and take the neg or you can take a return voluntarily and maybe not get one plus not have a complaint on your buyer satisaction record If she cecides to file a complaint you will be forced to take a return. It may not be your fault but it is your responsibility Silver rule "do not do to others what you would not like to be done to you"|||Well, I just looked at the auction and that's maybe a 16 by 1940's sizes, but it is NOT a modern day 16 by any means. Link A 36-38" bust (as described by you) is a misses size 10. Since there is a huge variety in sizing by different manufacturers and countries and etc it's a good idea to always list the flat dimensions of the item. I agree with the buyer in this case. A dress that is size 16 womens would hang VERY loosely on a skinny mannequin (usually mannequins are like a size 0-2). What you have there is a girls size 16 dress that you did not describe accurately.|||You had the measurements in the listing so if the buyer files with Ebay, I don't know that they'd win. Ebay is tougher on SNADS. I would just tell her to return the dress for a full refund.Need a website fast?|||I'm not usually one for refunding without the return of item but in this case it's clear you were wrong and it's clear it wouldn't be worth getting back. I'd refund with an apology. That is most definitely a girls size 16 A girls 16 will fit on a an adult (I wear a 16) but an adult 16 would have been huge on your manni. Even the style to me screams girls."This must be Thursday, said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, I never could get the hang of Thursdays."|||Definitely a girls 16. Refund upon return.|||Sometimes mistakes happen I just had a return and the buyer said this "I have a light/fair complexion, and this foundation is too dark. I know the auction said it is for a medium complexion, but I didn't realize there would be a difference" Clearly, it was the buyers fault, but I did accept the return, refunded, plus I even paid for her to ship it back to me. This way, hopefully if she needs other makeup items, she may remember my seller id and come back to my auctions.|||Then she can try them , return the used item which cannot be resold for hygenic reasons, and so on and so on. Interesting business plan... Personally, she would be on my BBL before I refunded.|||"return the used item which cannot be resold for hygenic reasons, and so on and so on" LMAO...so where you buy clothes there is a trash bin outside the try on rooms to throw away those unhygenic items you just tried on?||||||Given the auction Title Material Girl, and the fact you did not indicate the "brand/manufacturer" and the size/measurements, this is definitely a Girls size 16, not misses/womans dress. If I were you, I would let the buyer keep the dress (total sale $5.99) and give a full refund. This may save you from a neg for not accurately describing this dress and listing it in the wrong Womens category. Making the buyer in this case return and pay for return shipping, will certainly result in a deserved NEG. For $5.99 it is not worth it when the buyer is correct.||||||I think they were referring to the foundation which would have to be thrown away after being used. Yes, the foundation does get thrown away, or I use it as a tester when I go out to the flea market....it doesn't get resold|||"MATERIAL GIRL is the brand, and the measurements WERE in the listing. Guess you don't look at ENTIRE lisings either." Wrong,I read it and nowhere did you mention in the listing the Material Girl as being a brand. That is not a super popular "brand" that many buyers would auto know . The measurements and the way it fit the manni, NO way this was a womans size 16. It was a Girls size 16. Sorry, but I think you owe your buyer a full refund. For $5.99 I would apologize and not make the buyer spend money to return it, in hopes of not getting a Neg. It is your auction, so you do what you choose.|||Tag in dress said..LADIES SIZE 16 I'm not buying it. Those measurements do not indicate a womens 16.
Paypal Buyer Protection Policy Question
BPP states: "When a buyer wins a Buyer Complaint Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer ONLY if the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account." So what happens if the funds are NOT in a sellers account? 1.) Is the buyer simply screwed? Do they check once and then are they done with ichecking if there are no available funds? 2.) Do they follow up with the seller and TRY to get the money back or is it solely dependent on the balance at that very moment? 3.) Do they perhaps WAIT for the funds to become available at a later time? If the funds were ever to become available, would they withdraw the buyers cash from that, or is it, again, just what' is available at the time they check?|||The Buyer Protection Policy and the Buyer Complaint Policy are 2 different things. BPP is for items purchased on Ebay, the BCP is for items purchased off-Ebay|||Yes, I know - that was actually a mistake I made typing "Protection Policy" in the subject header. My questions are in regards to the Buyer Complaint Claim. Does anyone have an idea?|||"My questions are in regards to the Buyer Complaint Claim. Does anyone have an idea?" Buyer Compalint = no refund, if the seller has cleared out their Paypal acct. Buyer Protection= it does NOT matter , if the seller has funds or not, buyer won dispute is refunded by Paypal, then Papal goes after the seller for reimbursement.|||I am going to assume you aren't asking about eBay buying since this program isn't relevant to eBay [u]unless you pay an email address not linked to the auction. "When a buyer wins a Buyer Complaint Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer ONLY if the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account." So what happens if the funds are NOT in a sellers account? 1.) Is the buyer simply screwed? Do they check once and then are they done with checking if there are no available funds? They put the account on hold and any funds coming in from sales etc. will be appropriated but most scammers just cut and run. 2.) Do they follow up with the seller and TRY to get the money back or is it solely dependent on the balance at that very moment? Yes, they usually try 3.) Do they perhaps WAIT for the funds to become available at a later time? If the funds were ever to become available, would they withdraw the buyers cash from that, or is it, again, just what' is available at the time they check? I have heard of buyers getting refunds months later but rarely. Fund your PayPal payments with a credit card and avoid worrying.
I am a buyer with a problem
I bid on a jacket from a brand new seller, prior to bidding on it, I sent a message to check to see if seller was for real. No answer but I wanted the product so I bid and won. I requested the total amount with no response, so I went ahead and paid. After one day it said that the paypal was waiting for a response from the seller with a timer sign. So I got scared and canceled the transaction, I have sent mulitiple contact requests, and messages to ask to cancel the whole thing, but no answer. Now I have that stuck on my MyEbay page. should I just leave it? I need help on what to do! thanks.. Becky Link|||After one day it said that the paypal was waiting for a response from the seller with a timer sign. How do you cancel a transaction that you paid for?Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||sounds like the paypal account the payment was sent to was not open or active that's the only time I know that you can cancel."This must be Thursday, said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, I never could get the hang of Thursdays."|||Sounds like that, or is that also what it would show if the seller had only a personal PP acct?|||So should I just wait then? I requested contact info from Ebay and still haven't heard anything... I knew I should've never bid on that jacket~|||Hmmm, looks like their first and only sale, probably just have no idea what they're doing! Well, New with Tags and "Wore and washed only once" + a stock pic is a big red flag(s). I would do nothing. If you have your payment back, wait to hear from them, if they file a UPI, respond with your transaction # of the unclaimed payment.|||Payments sent to Personal Accounts can't be Cancelled. Sellers must upgrade to accept, buyers can't cancel on their end. The email address linked in the auction is either a typo or not properly linked to the seller's PayPal account.|||Seller has no clue Says new with tags, but description says "This jacket is in great shape! Wore and washed only once, Never used since" Unless they washed the tags, this is not new with tags. Seller has not set up their Paypal acct to receive payments as required (non personal acct). This one is not likely to know to file to get their fee back. If they do , just give the original Paypal transaction number and state they were unable/willing to accept payment. As far as what is showing on your MY Ebay page, that is for your eyes only. Either ignore or just use the drop down menu and mark it paid.|||"I sent a message to check to see if seller was for real. No answer but I wanted the product so I bid and won" And just how does emailing tell you the seller is real? When you did not get a reply, you should not have bid. With the conflicting "New with Tags " and description saying washed ,worn once , You should not have bid.|||SO I finally got a phone number and I called yesterday, she sounded like a teenager...I left a message telling her that she just needed to cancel the whole transaction, and that I contacted Ebay already. I haven't heard back from her, didn't really expect to. thanks guys for the info, Leason learned on my part... :"< Mahalo!|||I always believed that a first time seller to ebay should by first ,that way they will learn how too sell by dealing with sellers they buy from. Selling on ebay isn't for everyone.|||A teenager (sounds like) doesn't mean the person on the answering machine is the seller. If it comes down to brass tacks~~you bid, you won, you pay.||||||Time to forget about it and move on. Just buy another New with Tags Jacket that has only been washed once .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||"How am I supposed to pay when I haven't heard anything from the seller? including requesting the total amount due." The auction shows the jacket as item price $24.50 and S&H is $4.00= $28.50 You do not need a total from the seller, everything you need to pay, is right in the auction. When you paid the first time, what exactly did the PayPal transaction or any message say? My guess is the seller being 100 % new and clueless, opened a regular , not the required to sell Premier Paypal acct.
Unsure if my Louis Vuitton handbag is authentic that I purchased
Hello all! I've never used this before, but I am quite unsure of a Louis Vuitton handbag I purchased. This seller is My Poupette recommended (which really doesn't mean anything to me) and when I received the handbag, some things looked fake to me. I could just be totally unsure, but I've examined other bucket bags and where the authenticity code is, they have an LV button, mine doesn't. The seller claims the interior was replaced in 2006, so there may be some differences compared to the original look. Please check out here: Link|||Monkeytore is a reputable seller. All bucket bags large and small are lined in Vuittonette. It is made to be easily washable. I the past the Vuittonette would peel and flake and that is the main reason you see so many relined. My large bucket was relined as well. Your datecode looks fine. The heat stamp is the correct pressure and font. The bag is in great condition. I have not bought from Monkeytore but would not hesitate to do so.Dixie LV Collector!|||Donna - post your concerns on the purse board - the ladies over their are experts and will be able to help you. Here's the link to the board: Link Someone pass me an explanation and a Tanq on the rocks please ...|||The purse board already has a thread about this bag from Monkeytore.Dixie LV Collector!||||||its authentic.|||A seller's feedback is a good indication as to wheather they sell aucthintic or fake items. When looking at this sellers feedback they do not have any feedback from buyers saying their items are fake. So most likely it is authentic. I hope the auction said that the purse had the interior replaced so the buyer knew what they were buying.|||That bag is making its way around the block. ** chuckles **If you only have nice things to say, don't sit by me||||||I'd worry and ask questions on the purse board before bidding next time.
Seller Unwilling To Admitt Error
I won auction 110519175488 for a bottle of Calvin Klein's woman's perfume. It says woman's perfume in the title & three times in the description, but I received instead a bottle of Calvin Klein's man's aftershave. No problem, mistakes happen. So I fire off an email & 1 day later no response, so I fire off another & another day later no response, so today I got the sellers contact info from eBay & phoned the seller. he answered his phone, listened to my issue & informed me that he doesn't buy man's aftershave, & that while he didn't think I was lying to him about what I received, that there is no way that this could happen , for he only bought woman's perfume. His response has gotten me so pissed I needed to vent before I take my next step, & while this hasn't helped a bunch, it has helped calm me down a bit. I will wait until I am myself, then take this up w/ the folks at eBay. Thank you for letting me vent some steam. PS: I saw that he was a relatively new seller before I bid on the item, but they did have 100% positive feed back, six as a seller, & the account dates back to 2006.|||Well, the picture does say "Eww de par-fum" so I assume the pic was of a wimmen's bottle. Good that you calmed down. I didn't a few weeks ago when I got those loose Hulk dvds and fired off an angry e-mail to the seller! Seems like an open and shut case to just file a SNAD. Is cologne okay to ship USPS first class?|||Perhaps a photo to the seller? If that doesn't work by all means file SNAD with PayPal.|||When you return to the seller, make certain you use delivery confirmation|||Be sure to send it with delivery confirmation and file your SNAD complaint before the 45 days are up.Need a website fast?|||Funny, that looks like the Men's Box. This perfume is made for both men and women but the women's perfume box is shorter and wider.Need a website fast?|||The man's & woman's boxes are identical in shape size & color, except for the man's says 'for men' under the word ESCAPE, & the woman's has only the word ESCAPE. Below is a link to two auctions w/ good pics of both types of boxes. woman's ESCAPE Man's ESCAPE|||Also here is a link to the auction in question. Bad seller auction|||Another try at the woman's link. Woman's Escape|||It is possible the seller never opened the package, and would not know a mans was switched for a women's, if the packages are that similar. Just file the SNAD with Paypal, return when requested with D/C. Follow Paypal's instructions.|||It was men's aftershave in a men's aftershave box.
GIFT CERTIFICATES ??
Good morning everyone. Has anyone had any experience buying gift cards/certificates on line? thanks for your input.|||Just be very careful. Check your seller's feedback, 99% is the lowest I would go for a high risk transaction. Buy from high FB sellers, over 100. Pay with a credit card.|||wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole--but be sure to pay with paypal if you do.|||be sure to pay with paypal if you do Yes, and select Credit Card as your method of payment. That way you're doubly covered in case of a dispute.|||can anyone tell me why buyers pay more than face value for gift certificates and gift cards? I don't get it.||||||Save your money. Many of these gift cards will be unusable when you get to the cash register at the store. They will be empty, stolen, expired etc.|||I have sold gift certs on Ebay without any problems. I would recommend, as others have, that you use a credit card through Paypal and also that you use a seller with positive feedback (preferably one that has positive feedback for gift certificates). I also wonder why they sometimes go for MORE than face value. I once had a $20 gas card, received as a gift, for a gas company not in my area. I listed it in an auction and it went for $24 plus $1 shipping - WEIRD!
