I'm trying to setup a NAS so I can have all my machines access my music. I was also wanting to put my applications on this drive (for more of a backup purpose) and be able to sync. I've gotten the music on the drive and it appears to be working (although I haven't done a sync yet... still trying to get all the music copied over).
I did some testing with the applications and when they are on the NAS I would have to manually go through all 400 apps I have downloaded, do the locate and find it on the NAS. If I move them back to the C:\ iTunes folder they were discovered when I restarted iTunes. I also tried to change the preferences to ensure the media drive was pointed to the NAS. I downloaded a file and it was saved in the C:\ iTunes instead.
Any thoughts on what I need to do to get everything on the NAS, have purchases download to the NAS would be great!!
